Model POLARITY PEN

Barely more cumbersome than a pen, this small tool makes it possible to identify the North or South polarity of a magnet.

Approach it to a source of magnetic field and its built-in detector will indicate the direction of the field lines. This polarity identifier will then display whether the magnet you are measuring is facing North or South.

It can be used to determine the polarity of a permanent magnet but it can also be used to determine the direction of rotation on DC actuators.

Technical characteristics:

  • Size: 140x20x20
  • Weight : 90g (with battery)
  • Autonomy : 10 hours in continuous operation (several months in normal operation)
  • Battery type : Comes with 1 AAA battery
  • Number of LEDs : 1 North LED (Red) and 1 South LED (Green)
  • Sensitivity : +/- 5 mT (milliTesla) or +/- 50 Gauss
  • Operating temperature: -20 to +85°C
  • On : Continuous button press (measurement time)
  • Auto Standby : Yes
  • Language of the manual : French
  • Storage box : Yes
  • Basic warranty : 24 months
  • Delivery time : 2 to 3 days

Applications:

  • Pole detection of a permanent magnet
  • Pole detection of a DC electromagnet
  • Polarity check after magnetization of a ferrite, neodymium, etc. magnet.
  • Test during the manufacture or maintenance of a coil
  • Checking the presence of several alternating poles
  • Checking the magnetization of magnetic clamps

This device does not measure the value of a magnetic field. It makes it possible to check the presence of a field greater than 50 Gauss, while identifying whether the pole is North or South. If you need to measure the induction of a magnetic field while wishing to know whether the polarity is North or South, turn to our conventional gaussmeters or our GaussMeter-Pro Android application.

Note: The color and shape of this polarity identifier may vary depending on stock availability.
